Program overview
The Diploma in Civil Engineering prepares learners with the technical foundations used in surveying, construction, structural systems, transportation, water supply and infrastructure works. It emphasizes applied engineering knowledge and the use of drawings, measurements and field procedures.
Measurement, mapping and field surveying concepts.
Building materials, methods, estimation and supervision fundamentals.
Drawing, structural concepts and technical documentation.
Roads, water, irrigation and public-works concepts.
What you will study
The first two semesters share the foundational engineering curriculum. Later semesters focus on civil engineering. The following is a thematic summary; the actual course sequence and credit distribution are defined by CTEVT.
| Stage | Learning areas |
|---|---|
| Year 1 · Semesters 1–2 | Engineering mathematics, science, communication, engineering drawing, computer applications and workshop practice. |
| Year 2 · Semesters 3–4 | Surveying, construction materials, structural principles, building construction and technical calculations. |
| Year 3 · Semesters 5–6 | Infrastructure applications, project planning, estimating and practical civil engineering work. |
Admission eligibility
For CTEVT non-health diploma programs, the general admission guidance specifies SEE passed with a minimum overall GPA of 1.6. Published engineering curricula additionally identify minimum grades in Mathematics and Science (C) and English (D+), or applicable pre-diploma qualifications. Selection is subject to the admission and entrance process specified in the current CTEVT notice.
Admission rules, grading interpretations, entrance/selection procedures, reserved seats, dates and required documents can change. The latest official CTEVT admission notice takes precedence over this summary.
