What you will study
The first year of CTEVT engineering diplomas builds a shared foundation. Later semesters introduce specialization. The following are study areas, not a semester-by-semester subject list; refer to CTEVT's official curriculum for the authoritative syllabus.
| Stage | Learning areas |
|---|---|
| Year 1 · Semesters 1–2 | Engineering mathematics, physics, chemistry, communication, engineering drawing, workshop practice and computer applications. |
| Year 2 · Semesters 3–4 | Programming, electronics/digital concepts, computer organization and core systems topics. |
| Year 3 · Semesters 5–6 | Networking, databases, software and web-related practice, specialized technical study and curricular project work. |
Admission eligibility
For CTEVT non-health diploma programs, the general admission guidance specifies SEE passed with a minimum overall GPA of 1.6. Published engineering curricula additionally identify minimum grades in Mathematics and Science (C) and English (D+), or applicable pre-diploma qualifications. Selection is subject to the admission and entrance process specified in the current CTEVT notice.
Admission rules, grading interpretations, entrance/selection procedures, reserved seats, dates and required documents can change. The latest official CTEVT admission notice takes precedence over this summary.
